Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) is a form of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy specifically developed for reducing the distress caused by the impact of traumatic memories. This process help your brain reprocess & desensitize its trauma networks so that they no longer interfere with your thoughts.
Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that has been effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD that have developed after experiencing a variety of traumatic events. In doing so, the patient creates a new understanding and conceptualization of the traumatic event so that it reduces its ongoing negative effects.
